July 2026 delivered a welcome return to profit for the Fortis portfolio, finishing +45.93 points across all four systems to BSP.
Systems 2 and 3 both produced strong positive months at +14.86 points and +52.70 points respectively, while Systems 1 and 4 finished in drawdown.
The result reduced the overall 2026 portfolio deficit from -145.49 points at the end of June to -99.56 points at the end of July.
See below for a detailed breakdown of each system’s monthly results to BSP.
Portfolio P/L: +45.93pts
YTD P/L: -99.56pts

System 1 (max odds of 20.0) BSP results
System 1 experienced a particularly volatile month. After falling to around -13 points during the first half of July, the system recovered strongly and reached approximately +13.57 points by 20 July. However, a difficult final part of the month reversed that progress. All Ways Glamorous at BSP 10.50 cost -9.50 points, while several further winning horses between BSP 7.0 and 8.0 contributed additional losses. System 1 ultimately finished July -11.40 points.
System 2 (max odds of 10.0) BSP results
System 2 produced a strong July and returned +14.86 points from 242 selections. The system recovered from an early-month drawdown and reached more than +22 points towards the end of July before giving back some profit over the final few days. Despite several losses towards the upper end of its permitted odds range, System 2 finished comfortably positive.
System 3 (max odds of 20.0) BSP results
System 3 was comfortably the strongest performer in July, returning +52.70 points from 247 selections. After beginning the month in negative territory, the system produced a sustained recovery and reached more than +62 points during the final week before finishing at +52.70. This represented a significant reversal following the difficult results recorded by System 3 in May and June.
System 4 (max odds of 5.0) BSP results
System 4 finished July -10.23 points from 87 selections. The system remained relatively close to break-even during the opening part of the month but gradually moved into drawdown as July progressed. As expected from the lower maximum BSP of 5.0, individual losses remained relatively contained, although the strike rate of 50.57% was not sufficient to produce a profitable month.
July provided a much-needed positive month following significant drawdowns in both May and June.
The portfolio returned +45.93 points, recovering almost half of June's loss and reducing the 2026 YTD deficit from -145.49 points to -99.56 points.
System 3 accounted for the majority of July's recovery with +52.70 points, while System 2 added a further +14.86 points.
Systems 1 and 4 remained negative, demonstrating again why the portfolio is assessed across multiple systems and over meaningful periods rather than by relying on any single strategy or month.
No parameters were changed following the losses in May and June, and July continued under exactly the same published rules.
Looking Ahead to August
At the end of July, the 2026 portfolio stands at -99.56 points.
System 1 now sits at -4.62 points YTD, System 2 at -25.67 points, System 3 at -40.69 points and System 4 at -28.58 points.
Across the first seven months of 2026, the four systems have produced 4,841 selections, with all results recorded to BSP using the published maximum odds for each system.

July was a welcome step in the right direction.
After a combined -147.01 points across May and June, returning +45.93 points in July demonstrates how quickly results can move in both directions.
It is equally important not to overreact to profitable periods as it is not to overreact to drawdowns.
The 2026 portfolio remains in negative territory and there is still a significant amount of ground to recover. The approach, however, remains unchanged.
The systems will continue to operate under the same published rules, and every result will continue to be reported regardless of performance.
