Month at a glance
August 2026 delivered a second consecutive profitable month for the Fortis portfolio, finishing +48.87 points across all four systems to BSP.
For the first time in several months, all four systems finished the month in profit. System 3 produced the strongest contribution at +23.41 points, while Systems 1, 2 and 4 added +12.84, +3.07 and +9.55 points respectively.
Following July's +45.93 points, the August result reduced the overall 2026 portfolio deficit from -99.56 points at the end of July to -50.69 points at the end of August.

System 1 (max odds of 20.0) BSP results
System 1 produced a profitable August despite another volatile month. After falling into drawdown during the opening few days, the system recovered strongly and reached approximately +33.77 points by 18 August. A number of higher-priced winners then reduced that position, including Daiquiri Bay at BSP 13.30, which cost -12.30 points, and The Lost King at BSP 9.60, which cost a further -8.60 points. Despite giving back some of its mid-month profit, System 1 finished August +12.84 points.
System 2 (max odds of 10.0) BSP results
System 2 experienced a particularly volatile August. The system reached approximately +18.30 points during the first half of the month before a difficult run saw it fall to around -16.52 points by 17 August. It then recovered significantly during the remainder of the month to finish marginally positive at +3.07 points. While the headline result was relatively small, recovering from a substantial mid-month drawdown ensured System 2 still made a positive contribution to the portfolio.
System 3 (max odds of 20.0) BSP results
System 3 was the strongest contributor to the portfolio in August, returning +23.41 points from 239 selections. The system enjoyed a strong first half of the month and reached approximately +46.04 points by 15 August. Several winning horses during the second half of August reduced that position, including The Lost King at BSP 9.60 and Letsbefrank at BSP 7.90, but System 3 remained comfortably profitable by month end. Following July's +52.70 points, this represented a second consecutive strong month for System 3.
System 4 (max odds of 5.0) BSP results
System 4 produced another positive month, returning +9.55 points from 72 selections. The system reached more than +12 points during the second half of August before giving back a small amount of profit towards month end. With all selections restricted to a maximum BSP of 5.0, individual losses remained comparatively contained and System 4 finished the month with the highest ROI of the four systems at +13.26%.

At the end of August, the 2026 portfolio stands at -50.69 points.
System 1 has returned to positive territory at +8.22 points YTD, while System 2 stands at -22.60 points, System 3 at -17.28 points and System 4 at -19.03 points.
Across the first eight months of 2026, the four systems have produced 5,601 selections, with all results recorded to BSP using the published maximum odds for each system.

Final Thoughts
August was another welcome step in the right direction.
Following the significant drawdowns experienced in May and June, the portfolio has now returned +94.80 points across July and August, reducing the 2026 deficit considerably.
However, the year remains in negative territory and the purpose of these reviews is to show the complete picture rather than focus only on profitable periods.
The same rules that produced the difficult months remain in place during the recovery.
